The Q-Plex™ Human Chemokine (9-plex) array is a fully quantitative ELISA-based test where nine distinct capture antibodies have been absorbed to each well of a 96-well
plate in a defi ned array. Using less than 30 µl of sample per well, up to 80 samples can be assayed for all six markers in less than 2.5 hours. The Q-Plex™ Human
Chemokine (9-plex) array provides researchers an easy to use and cost effective means of identifying chemokine profiles.
Chemokines are specific in the types of cells they attract, though each chemokine can activate multiple receptors and a single receptor can bind multiple
chemokines. Chemokine profiling is a particularly valuable tool. Expression is a great indicator of a system out of homeostasis, while the profile is indicative
of the types of cells involved in the immune system's response. Secreted by numerous cell types, these proteins are usually induced by cell damage as a result
of infection. These profiles also provide clues to other events like angiogenesis and hematopoiesis.
