The Q-Plex™ Human Hematopoiesis (5-plex) array is a fully quantitative ELISA
based test where five distinct capture antibodies have been absorbed to
each well of a 96-well plate in a defined array. Using less than 30 µl
of sample per well, up to 80 samples can be assayed for all five markers
in less than 2.5 hours. The Q-Plex™ Human Hematopoiesis (5-plex) array provides
researchers an easy to use and cost effective means of exploring the complexity
of Hematopoiesis.
Hematopoiesis is the process by which mature blood cells are formed from pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells. The pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells have
the ability for self renewal while maintaining a non-cyclic state. Hematopoiesis is stimulated in these cells through various signaling mechanisms with cytokines
and growth factors playing a key role. Understanding the role of pluripotent stem cells in hematopoiesis is particularly important in understading hematological
disorders and developing treatments.
