Immunoglobulins are multimeric glycoproteins secreted by plasma cells and regulated by the humoral immune system. They have a central role in acquired immunity
in vivo, but have been utilized in vitro for various applications including Immunoassays. The development of hybridoma technology has particularly expanded this
latter use. Quansys Biosciences' Mouse Immunoglobulin array was specifically designed for antibody developers to use in monitoring antibody titers during immunization
and characterizing the developed hybridomas.
The mouse immunoglobulin array is a rapid (20 minutes), fully quantitative assay used to simultaneously quantitate 6 antibody isotypes as well as the ratio
of kappa to lambda light chains. Its multiple uses include rapid and efficient characterization of monoclonal antibody producing hybridomas; immunological monitoring
of mice prior to fusion; and as a screen in mouse model studies of human diseases known to affect antibody concentrations and ratios.
