Fujifilm LAS-3000

The Fujifilm LAS-3000 is a versatile imaging system with numerous applications. One of those applications is imaging planar based arrays. These arrays, known as Quansys Multiplex ELISAs, are protein arrays preassembled in the bottom of a 96 well plate. Using the Fujifilm LAS-3000, the chemiluminescent response produced by the multiplex ELISA is visualized and recorded as a TIFF image file. Image analysis, curve fitting and sample calculations are facilitated by importing the Fujifilm LAS-3000 generated image into Quansys Q-View Software. In order to help educate the customer on how to use the Fujifilm LAS-3000 for the Q-Plex technology, a training video has been made.
The Fujifilm LAS-3000’s core is the 3.2 M pixel Fujifilm Super CCD Area Type chip. Pixel size is 10.75m x 10.75m with Peltier Cooling to at least -30°C ambient. Focusing is powered with exposure times ranging from 1/100 second to 30 hrs. The dynamic range is over 4 orders of magnitude with a gradation of 16 bits (65,563 gray levels). Image size is 12.6 MB maximum and 49.2 KB minimum. The interface is via USB 1.1.
The imager comes with a dark box with different tray applications. These applications include Chemiluminescene, Blue LED, Green LED, Red LED, UV and fluorescence via trans-illuminator or EPI-illuminator. This system has been used quite extensively by Quansys Bioscience customers with the following settings. Current users expose arrays for 10 seconds and use the NP tray on level 2.
For assistance on using this device with the Q-Plex arrays, contact us for more information on how to set up this imager and to optimize your results by increasing the dynamic range of your assay as well as removing vignetting and parallax using the Q-View software.
