Carestream / Kodak 4000M

The Carestream / Kodak 4000MM is a versatile imaging system with numerous applications.  One of those applications is imaging planar based arrays.  These arrays, known as Quansys Multiplex ELISAs, are protein arrays preassembled in the bottom of a 96 well plate.  Using the Kodak 4000MM, the chemiluminescent response produced by the multiplex ELISA is visualized and recorded as a TIFF image file.  Image analysis, curve fitting and sample calculations are facilitated by importing the Kodak 4000MM generated image into Quansys Q-View Software.

The Digital Science KAI-4000M image sensor is a progressive scan interline charge coupled device (CCD) featuring 2048 x 2048 pixel resolution with 7.4m x 7.4m square pixels and four outputs. Electronic shutter, exposure control, anti-blooming protection, low smear and high dynamic range (60 dB) enable high perfomance system design. At 20 Mhz clock rate, the quad output architecture allows 15 full frames per second (progressive scan option) readout for full resolution and higher frame rates with pixel binning.
