LI-COR Aerius

The LI-COR Aerius is a versatile scanning system with numerous applications.  One of those applications is imaging planar based arrays.  These arrays, known as Quansys Multiplex ELISAs, are protein arrays preassembled in the bottom of a 96 well plate.  Using the LI-COR Aerius, the fluorescent response produced by the multiplex ELISA is visualized and recorded as a TIFF image file.  Image analysis, curve fitting and sample calculations are facilitated by importing the LI-COR Aerius generated image into Quansys Q-View Software.   LI-COR has been a great partner in improving and enhancing the Q-Plex kits for optimal sensitivity and accuracy with the LI-COR detection technology.  Please visit this press release for more information.

Due to the fluorescent nature of the Aerius, the ranges of the assays are typically 4-5 logs.  As well competitive sensitivity levels to other technologies are observed.  Also, the Aerius platform allows for high-throughput applications with the Q-Plex technology.
