Q-View Imaging Instructions
1. Imaging instructions for the Quansys Q-View imager
2. Launch the Q-View software
3. Select “create new project” and enter in the name of the project when the “save-as window opens” then press save.
4. Press the capture image button and the camera control window will open.
5. If the camera is recognized, “connected will appear in green at the top left corner of the window.
6. Also, make sure the camera settings are set to ISO 400 and F-Stop 2.8.
7. To focus the plate select the “enable live view feed” box at the top of the window.
8. Place the focus plate in the imager leaving the lid open
9. Press the focus buttons in the software to adjust the focus until the words and spots on the focus plate are clear.
10. Deselect “enable live view feed” when the plate is in focus and remove the focus plate from the imager.
11. Press the exposure times button to set the number and length of exposures you would like to use to image the plate.
12. To remove an exposure time select it in the exposure box and then press the red X button. To add more exposure times, enter the number of seconds in the “new exposure time” box and then select the green arrow.
13. The seconds listed in the exposure times box are the number of exposures that will be taken and the length of time for each exposure. Move your mouse outside of the capture details box when you have specified the exposures you would like.
14. When you are ready to take the image of the assay plate, place it in the imager and close the lid.
15. Then press the “capture image” button to start imaging the plate.
16. The camera will automatically take the number of exposures at the lengths you specified and save them to the project.
