The following is a list of imagers compatible for use with Quansys Biosciences’ Q-Plex™ multiplexed ELISA technology or compare side by side:
1. Quansys Imager (Cat # 104450GR) with Q-View Plus™ image analysis software. Recommended for the acquisition of the chemiluminescent signal and quantification of spot intensity for the Q-Plex™ multiplexed ELISA arrays.
2. Alternative imagers that are compatible with the Q-Plex™ multiplexed ELISA array products.
- Alpha Innotech: Fluorchem HD, SP, 8000, 8900, 9900, HD2
- Bio-Rad: Versa Doc 4000 or XRS
- Fujifilm: LAS-3000, LAS-3000 Mini
- LI-COR: Aerius®, Odyssey®
3. Alternative imagers that possibly will work, however they have not been tested internally.
- Fujifilm: LAS-4000, LAS-4000 Mini
- Kodak: 4000MM, 2000MM, Gel Logic 100
- UVP: BioDoc-IT System, EC3 Darkroom
It is important to understand that these alternative imagers have not been optimized for this technology. There is an inherent variation in the type of lens and digital chip for each imager. These alternative imagers can have inherent variation from 9-12% within the field of view.
Alternative imagers can be used for quantitative analysis dependant upon the accuracy required. For qualitative applications, the alternative imagers should be suitable.
The Quansys Imager only has an inherent variation of 2%. For this reason, we strongly recommend the Quansys Imager be used with the Q-Plex™ Array technology.
