Human Eotaxin-3
Also known as CCL26, MIP-4α
Similar to eotaxin and eotaxin-2, eotaxin-3 has been shown to elicit chemotaxis in target cells through interacting with the cell surface receptor CCR3. It is chemotactic for eosinophils and basophils and has also been shown to repulse monocytes through antagonizing CCR2. It is expressed by a variety of tissues including heart, lung, ovary, and endothelial cells.
